Office Managers

I have lived in Oregon all of my life, moving to Central Oregon in 1997.  That is the year I joined Dr. Rheuben's office, first as a Certified Dental Assistant, then later as Office Coordinator.   I enjoy coming to work each day - not only is our staff great, but we have the best patients!  I truly value the relationships we have created with them through the years.  I feel a great deal of pride knowing that our patients are getting top quality care from every one of our team members.

When not at work, I can be found riding my horses (I enjoy cattle sorting and barrel racing), or working on home improvement projects with my husband. We also enjoy traveling, kayaking, and hiking. We have two grown children that are my pride and joy, and a plethora of animals.  I absolutely love Central  Oregon, and am so happy to call it home!

Staff at Sisters, OR dental office of dentist Thomas Rheuben, DMD & Maureen Porter, DDS

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Central Oregon in 1993.  I have been married to Dr. Rheuben since 2000.  We have five grown children and three grandchildren.

I have worked with Dr. Rheuben in the dental office since 1995, first as an assistant and now as office manager.
When not in the office, I enjoy traveling, gardening and spending time with my family.

After spending my childhood in Ketchikan, Alaska and Cathlamet, WA, I moved to Central Oregon in 2005.  I absolutely love it here and am really enjoying getting to experience all four seasons!

I was excited to join Dr. Rheuben's dental team in January 2014 after getting my bachelors degree from Pacific University in Portland.  The dental field has been a passion of mine since I was a young child and it is wonderful to be working in an office where my co-workers share my passion for a happy, healthy smile.

Building relationships with my patients and learning about their lives has been a very rewarding experience so far in my career.  I look forward to seeing my patients and work hard to make each visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

My husband and I live in Redmond with our two children.  We love to get outside and enjoy all the area has to offer and enjoy being a part of this wonderful community.

I joined Dr. Rheuben's staff in May of 2016 and am privileged to work with this outstanding team of professionals. I    work with smiles for a living and it is easy to smile myself when surrounded by these remarkable caring individuals.

I graduated with honors from Clark College's dental hygiene program in Vancouver, WA in 2002.  My favorite part   about my job is helping others and knowing that the education I bestow and the services I perform supports people   in leading a healthier life.

In addition to my dental hygiene degree, I graduated Summa cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in   Communication Studies with a minor in Theater Arts from Portland State University.  I often attend theater and   music productions and on rare occasions can be found on and off stage in community theater.

I am a born and raised Pacific Northwest girl, living in Washington and Oregon my entire life.  I love adventure and   travel and am an outdoors enthusiast.  Skiing, hiking, running, biking, paddling, backpacking, you name it, I   probably like it.  My husband and I, with our dog Simon moved to Bend in the fall of 2015 to enjoy all it has to   offer, especially the proximity to the mountains and the numerous days of sunshine.

Dental Assistants

I have lived in Central Oregon my entire life, both in Redmond and Sisters. I attended COCC to earn my Certified Dental Assisting degree, during which time I did my internship at Dr. Rheuben's office. I graduated in 2011, and I joined Dr. Rheuben's staff in 2018.  It was like coming home! I love working in the same town that I raised my children in.

The best part of my job is getting to know our patients and making their dental experience as comfortable as possible.

When not at work, I enjoy the outdoors. I have two sons - 13 years apart - they keep me busy! We hike, swim, camp, fish, and cook together. Central Oregon is home, and we love all the activities it has to offer.

I am a true daughter of Oregon - I was raised in NE Oregon's pristine Wallowa Valley where I cultivated a love for the outdoors.  I have spent all but six years of my life in Oregon, leaving only to serve in the US Navy as a Dental Technician. After completing my contract in the military, I explored my passion for baking and graduated from Le Cordon Bleau for patisserie and baking in Austin, TX. While spending a season working at the famous Lake Hotel Restaurant in Yellowstone National Park, I rekindled my love for the outdoors, which quickly led me home to study Outdoor Education in Oregon State University's College of Forestry.  After a three-year tenure at the US Department of Interior, I returned to dental assisting and planted my feet at Dr. Rheuben's office in 2016 where I enjoy providing top notch care.

I spend any and all of my free time baking sweets at home or exploring in the great outdoors with my husband and pup.
