Dr. Thomas Rheuben DMD, FAGD
I am a third generation dentist. I grew up in Reno, Nevada, but my love for Oregon brought me up to Willamette University for my undergraduate studies (BS in Biology). I then continued to dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University and graduated with my doctorate in 1990. After graduating, I practiced in Reno for a short period with my father, then decided to move back to Oregon. I have practiced in Sisters since 1993. I stay very active with continuing education, being a member with the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, and the Central Oregon Dental Society. I received my Fellowship Award (FAGD) with the Academy of General Dentistry in June, 2012 in Philadelphia at the National Convention. In order to be a Fellow, dentists must complete over 500 hours of continuing education and pass a rigorous exam This prestigious designation has been awarded to only 5% of general dentists and demonstrates my dedication to being the best dentist for my patients. I am active in the renowned Seattle Study Club and other academic study clubs. I make a point of staying current with the latest technologies and procedures.
I enjoy contributing to my community. I volunteer my time with the Kemple Children's Dental Clinic in Bend where I am a board member. I also volunteer my services with Family Access Network, Northwest Medical Teams, Project Connect, the Veteran's Administration and Donated Dental Services.
Sisters is a great community. I reside in Sisters with my wife, Peggy. I have five grown children, and three grandchildren. I enjoy many family activities, including hunting, fishing, hiking, golfing, and travel.
